Welcome to Spool! We’re super excited to launch phase one - the online shop - this Spring.

We are Michelle and Jen, friends who share a love of handmade. Sewing, knitting, quilting, embroidery…dresses, hats, household items, pajamas…Halloween costumes (because we’re moms, too). We think everyone should know how to sew. Whether you’re a seasoned sewist or have only ever imagined putting needle and thread to good use, we invite you to hang out with us and hopefully become inspired!

In the Spool shop you will find a carefully curated selection of fabrics that we love and hope you will adore as well. We aim to offer high quality fabrics to create your own wardrobe, premium quilting cottons, and materials for various handmade projects. Among our selections you’ll find modern prints, organic cottons, sustainable fibers, Japanese fabrics, and American made quilting cotton!

Our goal at Spool is simply to inspire and fuel handmade and to encourage everyone to sew something lovely. We want to share our love of sewing and the creative community and to help generate appreciation for quality, long-lasting goods in what is an increasingly disposable world.
